Why families choose Evolve for science

Support across science subjects

Students can get tutoring in general science, biology, chemistry, physics, and earth and space science.

Tutors who studied these subjects at university

Our science tutors study or have studied biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, health sciences, and related programs at Canadian universities.

Lab reports and written work

Science grades in Ontario include a lot of written work: lab reports, scientific explanations, and extended responses. Our tutors help students understand what's expected and how to write clearly and accurately.

Flexible across subjects

Tutoring hours work for any science subject. If your child needs chemistry help this week and biology help next week, just book accordingly. No separate packages or sign-ups required.

How science tutoring works

  1. Tell us what your child needs

Sign up and tell us the grade, the course, and what you want help with. It takes a few minutes.

Common questions about science tutoring

What grade levels do you cover for science?

We tutor science from Grade 6 through Grade 12, covering middle school science through Grade 12 Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth and Space Science.

Can you help with Grade 9 science (SNC1W)?

Yes. SNC1W is the destreamed Grade 9 science course covering biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science. A tutor can review difficult concepts, work through current assignments, and help the student prepare for tests throughout the course.

My child is struggling with Grade 11 or 12 science. Can you help?

Absolutely. Grade 11 and 12 science courses are among the most commonly tutored subjects we see. Whether it's SBI3U, SCH4U, or SPH4U, our tutors know these courses well and can help with labs, concepts, and exam prep.

Do you help with lab reports and written explanations?

Yes. Lab reports are a significant part of science grades in Ontario and many students find them harder than the tests. Our tutors help with scientific writing, understanding what each section requires, and how to analyze and present data properly.

Can you help across multiple science subjects at the same time?

Yes. If your child is taking chemistry and biology in the same semester, tutoring hours work for both. You can book sessions in whichever subject needs attention that week without any extra setup.

Do you cover earth and space science (SES4U)?

Yes. SES4U is a Grade 12 elective covering geology, climate, astronomy, and space science. Students can get help with course concepts, assignments, and assessment preparation.
