Why families choose Evolve for math
Ontario curriculum, exactly
Our tutors know the Ontario math curriculum inside out: the specific units, the way questions are worded, and what teachers actually test. No generic content.
Tutors from Canada's top universities
Every math tutor at Evolve is a university student or graduate from UofT, Waterloo, McMaster, Western, UBC, or Queen's. They recently took these courses themselves.

Common questions about math tutoring
What grade levels do you cover for math?
We tutor math from Grade 1 all the way through Grade 12, including MHF4U (Advanced Functions), MCV4U (Calculus and Vectors), and MDM4U (Data Management). Whether your child is struggling with fractions in Grade 4 or preparing for a university calculus course, we have the right tutor.
Can you help with Grade 9 math specifically?
Yes, and we prioritize it. Grade 9 academic math (MPM1D and MTH1W) is one of the most common points where students fall behind. It shifts quickly from arithmetic to abstract algebra. Our tutors know exactly where students get stuck and how to rebuild confidence early.
Do you cover EQAO math preparation?
Yes. We help Grade 3, 6, and 9 students prepare for EQAO math assessments with targeted practice, test-taking strategies, and a focus on the specific skills the assessment measures.
Can you help with MHF4U and MCV4U?
Absolutely. These are two of the most demanding Grade 12 courses in Ontario and are required for most university STEM programs. Our tutors are university students or graduates with direct experience in these exact courses.
How quickly will my child improve?
Most students notice a difference within 3 to 5 sessions: clearer understanding, less anxiety around tests, and more confidence in class. Bigger grade improvements typically show up over 4 to 8 weeks of consistent sessions.
What if my child is in the applied or essentials math stream?
We work with students in all Ontario math pathways: academic, applied, and essentials. Our tutors meet students at their level and build from there, without pressure or judgement.
