Personal information we collect

• Contact and account information: names, email addresses, phone numbers, account role, preferences, and authentication information.
• Student and tutoring information: grade, subjects, learning goals or accommodations you choose to share, scheduling information, tutor assignments, session attendance, notes, homework, progress updates, and educational files.
• Payment information: purchases, invoices, payment status and method, tutoring-hour balances, memberships, refunds, and transaction identifiers. Complete card numbers are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by Evolve Learning.
• Tutor and applicant information: contact details, qualifications, availability, onboarding information, payment details, and screening or background-check status.
• Communications: inquiries, support requests, emails, calls, messages, and feedback.
• Website and security information: IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referral source, approximate location, cookie identifiers, account activity, and security logs.

How we collect information

We collect information directly from you, from a parent or guardian managing a student's tutoring, from tutors, and automatically when our website or account tools are used. We may also receive transaction status from payment providers and basic campaign or referral information from analytics and advertising services.

How we use information

• Respond to inquiries, create and manage accounts, match students with tutors, schedule sessions, and provide tutoring.
• Provide session notes, homework, educational materials, progress information, and service communications.
• Process purchases, recurring memberships, tutoring hours, invoices, receipts, refunds, and tutor payments.
• Authenticate users, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot problems, protect users, and maintain the service.
• Understand website performance, measure advertising and referral activity, and improve our services.
• Meet accounting, tax, legal, regulatory, and dispute-resolution obligations.

Consent and student information

We seek consent appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the information. A parent or guardian must authorize our collection and use of personal information for a student under 18. Students may provide information with that permission and under appropriate oversight. You may withdraw consent for optional uses by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual restrictions; withdrawing consent may prevent us from providing some services.

When we share information

• Tutors and authorized staff: only as needed to provide tutoring and operate the service.
• Service providers: companies that support payment processing, email and communications, cloud hosting and storage, databases, security, analytics, advertising measurement, and tutor screening.
• Business or legal matters: where required by law, needed to protect rights or safety, or connected with a proposed sale, financing, or reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information. Service providers may use information only to perform services for us or as otherwise permitted by law.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising measurement

We use essential cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, security, and account functions. We also use Google Analytics and Google Ads, Microsoft Clarity, Vercel Analytics, and Vercel Speed Insights to understand website use, diagnose performance, and measure how visitors find us. These services may collect device, usage, referral, and cookie information. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, although blocking essential cookies may prevent account features from working.

Processing outside Canada
