These terms, together with our Cancellation & Refund Policy, cover your use of Evolve Learning's website, dashboards, and tutoring services.
These Terms of Service, together with the Cancellation & Refund Policy that follows below, cover your use of Evolve Learning's website and tutoring services. By using the website, dashboards, account, or tutoring services, or by purchasing or using prepaid tutoring hours, you agree to both. If you do not agree, please stop using the service and do not proceed with purchases or sessions.

Who we are
Evolve Learning is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and operates at https://evolvelearning.ca. We offer personalized tutoring services and related parent/tutor dashboards.
Accounts & eligibility
- Parent and tutor accounts are created by Evolve Learning admins.
- Parents manage accounts on behalf of their children. Tutors access only their assigned students.
- Adult learners aged 18 or older may manage their own account directly as a self-learner, without a parent or guardian.
- You must keep your credentials confidential and notify us of any unauthorized use.
- Students may fill in the contact form themselves with a parent or guardian's permission so we can follow up.
- The service is directed to parents and guardians; students under 18 should use it only with parent or guardian consent and oversight.
Services
We provide online tutoring, scheduling, session management, session notes/homework, progress updates, tutoring hour purchases, and related communications. Tutors may add notes and homework visible to the relevant parent/admin.
Payments & tutoring hours
- Prepaid tutoring hours are required for scheduled sessions unless a free session is available for the student.
- Card payments are processed by our payment processor; we do not store card numbers.
- E-transfer payments may be arranged with your coordinator. We may manually record payments or balance adjustments where needed.
- Scheduling changes and cancellations must be requested through Evolve Learning. Cancellation eligibility and billing adjustments are handled by Evolve Learning/admin.
User responsibilities
- Provide accurate information for contact forms, accounts, students, and scheduling.
- Use the dashboards only for lawful educational purposes; do not access, share, or misuse information about other users or students.
- Avoid disrupting the service, attempting unauthorized access, or misusing tutoring hours.
Intellectual property
The site design, text, and branding are owned by Evolve Learning. Tutors retain ownership of their teaching materials and give us permission to use and show them within the service for tutoring purposes.
Changes & governing law
We may update these terms from time to time. If you continue using the service after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
- Services are provided “as is” without warranties of outcomes or availability.
- To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law, Evolve Learning is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Responsibility for misuse
You are responsible for claims or losses caused by your misuse of the service or violation of these terms.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for policy violations or security concerns. You may request account closure at any time; outstanding tutoring hours are handled per our payment and cancellation practices above.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
This Cancellation & Refund Policy forms part of these Terms of Service. By accepting, you agree to both.
Prepaid tutoring hours
Evolve Learning sells prepaid tutoring hours in packages. Larger packages are priced at a lower per-hour rate. Tutoring hours never expire, can be used for any subject, and can be shared across students on the same family account within the same grade band (Grades 6–8 or Grades 9–12).
Cancelling a session
- You may cancel or reschedule a scheduled session up to 6 hours before its start time at no cost, and the tutoring hour returns to your balance.
- Cancellations made less than 6 hours before the session, and student no-shows, use the reserved tutoring hour.
- If your tutor cancels a session or does not attend, the tutoring hour is always returned to your balance.
- We review every cancellation individually and may waive this at our discretion where the circumstances warrant it, returning the tutoring hour. Please contact us as early as you can.
Refunds on unused tutoring hours
Unused tutoring hours may be refunded on request. Because packages are discounted for buying in bulk, we price the hours you have already used at the rate your usage actually qualifies for, then refund the rest. This keeps the bulk discount tied to actually using the full package.
How the refund is calculated: the amount you paid, minus the hours you have used multiplied by the applicable per-hour rate for the largest package whose size is less than or equal to the hours used, or the standard hourly rate if no package size applies.
For example, if you bought the 24-hour package but used only 6 hours, we price those 6 hours at the 6-hour package rate, then refund the remaining balance.
- Hours consumed by late cancellations and no-shows count as used.
- Free or promotional hours have no cash value and are not refundable.
- A refund is never more than you paid and is never negative.
- Any upcoming booked sessions must be cancelled before the balance is refunded.
Custom packages
For custom or negotiated packages, refunds are calculated using the agreed package rate confirmed in writing. Used hours, late cancellations, no-shows, and free or promotional hours are not refundable.
How to request a refund
Email support@evolvelearning.ca or contact your coordinator. We will confirm your used and remaining hours and calculate the refund using the method above. Refunds are usually issued by Interac e-transfer unless we confirm another method. Please allow a few business days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes apply to purchases made after the change takes effect; they are not applied retroactively to hours you have already bought. Where we ask you to accept updated terms, we will do so before your next purchase.
